Rock, it was a more or less tongue in cheek question.

I do realise that all you people are volunteers and in much the same way I
am the same with the helpdesk that I try to run for our senior group in this
state.
Believe me I do appreciate the help that I get from these newsgroups and it
has been of untold value in helping me resolve our member's problems when I
have need to find out more than my meagre knowledge allows. Our group has
members using Windows 95 through to XP so I do get a diversity of questions.
What I would like to find is someone who has a good general working
knowledge of all system that I could correspond direct with when you needed
but someone like that is hard to find.

With some of them you may as well -

I think that the fact that it is designated as general may cause people to
think that it is an all encompassing group.
A good argument can be made that OE and IE, since they are

That was my logic for asking the question here.

That's fair enough too, perhaps it was just the way that I interpreted your
message but I did note your follow up.
To see it from my side of the coin, I returned here to see if there was any
information for me and then after seeing your message about redirecting I
was scrolling through the postings and saw an OE posting and that it had
been replied to so I thought what gives here.
Your explanation as to what happens in this group has clarified the matter.
Don't bother to make any extended reply to this as it is not meant to be a
bone of contention and I would like to reiterate how much I do appreciate
the assistance I get here and in the other NG's
