Active tasks faulty

When I'm on the task page, and click on 'to do' list and current view of
'active tasks', the pane scrolls uncontrollably and eventually crashes the
system. This means I also can't have the active tasks showing on the to do
bar.
I've tried resetting the to do bar, and it fixes the problem for a brief
moment, and then returns to the faulty position.

I sync my tasks etc to my phone using the mobile device centre, so wondering
if this is part of the problem??

Very frustrating, as I use the task list often. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
