A question which I haven't found the solution...but it could be a simple one
just there in front of my nose and I am missing it !!!!

I have XP Pro on pc with outlook 2004. I run active synch for my mobile
phone/pocket pc.

WEverything fine there but here comes the complicated bit.

I wamt to buy a laptop- all of which now come with Vista, so the one I am
looking at runs Vista home premium and what I want to do is synch the laptop
with the main pc for outlook etc as I am spending more time away from
home/office but want to maintain the desktop.

Looking at the details of Vista , it says to delete the Active Synch
software etc but this inferes that it is the controlling OS, when in actual
fact I want to keep the pocket PC, desktop and Laptop all synched
together.....

any suggestions / remedies.

Regards

Clive

Vista doesn't use Active Sync, but that doesn't mean you have to delete it
on the computer that's running XP. Steve gave you a link to the Active Sync
newsgroup. There are also separate newsgroups for Outlook, and for Vista.

Outlook newsgroup on the web:

List of Vista newsgroups:
