I don't use Vista much (yet), but am I correct in observing the following?
1) If you are using the new Vista Aero theme, and
2) even if you turn off transparency, and then
3) click on "Open classic appearance properties for more color options",
that any changes you make to Active Title Bar color and Inactive Title Bar
color, are completely ignored? The theme itself seems to override the
Active and Inactive title bar colors... EVEN THOUGH lots and lots of Web
pages tell you that you can use the Aero theme and then click on this "open
classic..." link in order to change "any aspect" of the window appearance.
My Dad is slightly colorblind, and we like the rounded corners in the
themes, but we need MORE of a contrast between the active title bar and the
inactive title bar. ** I don't see ANY way to get BOTH the rounded corners
(which looks a lot better, frankly) and ALSO be able to control the color
of the active and the inactive title bars. **
The active title bar is gray, and the inactive title bar is another shade
of gray. That's not very visually indicative. (I know that Aero is
described as being "clear and open", but yecch.)
I have looked at downloadable themes, but many of them look like kids'
stuff or gamer "leet" goth-type things, which my Dad doesn't want.
Are there any free or inexpensive theme editors? I have searched Google a
little bit, and have not found anything yet. Thanks for any pointers.
