Active Directory Wizard Freezing

I am trying to install ADS on a clean install of Windows 200 server. I get all the way through the wizard and the starts to be installed. At the moment when the wizard says 'Configuring the local server to host the directory service' the machine freezes completly. There is no mouse movement at all

There are no errors in the event log and I have absolutely no idea why this might me happening. Can anyone help
