have only one domain controller but can anyone advise me of a way for me to
setup a disaster recovery solution if my DC crashed ?

The easiest and simplest disaster recovery solution is to add a second
DC. Anything else is a waste of time and money.

Cheers,

Have you ever noticed that if something is advertised as 'amusing' or
'hilarious', it usually isn't?

Don't forget about the backups; adding a second DC will help you only if one
DC will fail, but what are you going to do if somebody will delete some
objects from the directory ? (you'll need a valid backup then)
