I, personally, migrated from 98 to XP (and still run 98 on one of my boxes),
so forgive me as I work on a few machines for family members seeming a bit
behind on 2K.

That said:

On 98 Active Desktop was flaky as heck and I found I cured/prevented *many*
issues just by turning it off or never turning it on in the first place. Is
this any more stable in Win 2K Pro? I would like to have it running on at
least one of these units, but that would be a cruel thing to do to an
elderly man if it were not improved/more stable.

Thanks!

Hello R. D.,

We use it still with active desktop enabled and have no problems.

Best regards
