The power of Active Desktop (AD) came to the world as Microsoft
released Internet Explorer 4, but people always have had the doubt of
the necessity to install a webpage on the desktop. A year later,
Tien-Hao Lan and Peter Hou came up with the idea of putting some useful
utilities on the desktop with the AD technology. As for now, the LH
Active Desktop includes four essential tools: calendar, notepad, clock,
and calculator. With LHAD installed on your desktop, you will have the
power to reach these in the most convenient way!

Similar to my ToDo program which also uses active desktop. No clock
and calculator. But does have reminder list, 7, 14, or 28 day advance
warning. Repeat 0,1,2, etc months for regular bills. UK bank
holidays calculated and displayed. Personal holidays displayed.

Yes. ToDo List V2.03 to be precise. Screen shot at:

Although that only shows bank holidays. Personal holidays are in
green.
