Hi there,

I hope this doesn't sound stupid but after a power outage I couldn't boot
into my Windows Xp Pro SP3 (retail) PC.

I then repair installed Windows using my Slipstreamed XP Pro SP3 disk, and
can use the PC fine etc,

My question is, I have not been asked to Activate this copy of windows, and
there is no Activate icon in my start menu, is this normal as I seem to
remember having to activate an SP2 repair a couple of years ago.

Thanks for any help.

Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System -> Activate Windows

Does it say that you are already activated?

Hi thanks for the reply, but there was no icon, I done a bit more googling
and found that
by inputting oobe/msoobe /a into the run box it gave me the answer that my
windows is in fact activated.

I am still sure that I had to manually do it last time though.

Anyway thanks for the help...
