Activation prompt

My mom has an OEM copy of XP that came with her system.
We reinstalled the OS and it never asked for a product
key. When we got to the desktop, a reminder came up
stating she needed to activate it. We trieed to activate
and Windows states that there is no need to activate as
it is already done. Now, 30 days is up and she gets the
prompt to activate and when she clicks yes, it says that
it is activated already and shuts the computer down.
What a pain!

Any ideas?
