Like a moron I installed xp home on a machine that was not setup
correctly. Its an asus board and the proc speed is set wrong in
addition to the mem speed is wrong. I reset the bios values to the
correct settings and the os won't boot saying the config file is
corrupted and to try to run xp disk with the repair option. This is
a legal ver of xp home, I need to find out if I can fix these
values and reactivate or would these corrections violate the oem
setup?
thanks
dave

If you encounter a problem with activation via the internet,
then simply choose the alternative option to "activate by phone".
