The license for an OEM versions of Windows XP is tied to the
very first computer it is installed and activated on. It is non-
transferable to a different computer. It appears you are simply
misusing the license and need to purchase a new one.

| The problem now, is on my laptop it is skipping the 30 day activiation
| period and needing to be activated immediatly after the installation.
|
| The other problem is that my network card and modem drivers are not on
| the XP CD and I need to install them before activation. However, I
| can't (install the drivers) because the machine is logging me on
| directly to the activation screen.
|
| I installed it on my laptop twice... formatting the hard drive. I also
| did a repair install after the second installation and still no
| difference.
|
| Any ideas???
|
| And I am aware that I could call the 800 number and recieve an

| band aiding it.
