I am going to install a new larger hard drive and then

do I activate the new installation?

If you are unable to activate Windows XP via the internet
after reinstalling, select the alternative option to "activate by telephone".

Hi Michael,
Just follow the prompts when Windows asks you to activate. Since your
hardware is substantially the same, you shouldn't have any issues.
