I just read about the new MSIE behaviour in a upcoming update to MSIE whereby
activeX controls and Java applets require user intercation to enable.

MS gives some details about how to write external javascript that will allow
immediate interaction. I intend to do thi sbut require a version of MSIE that
requires activation first.

Is there a beta or demo of the update available to enable me to test?

Simon

What are you trying to write, a virus?

In no circumstances should a web page be able to install something on your
computer without interaction -- your installing executable code and that
executable code can in theory and reality do everything up to an including
installing additional spyware or wiping out your hard drive.

Hi Simon,

Unlike last time, when a demo was released to developers for testing, there
is no beta or demo available to test at this time.
