Under to find some mail, which was deleted some time back.

If it wasn't enabled at the time of deletion you won't be able to retrieve
anything from it now. Additionally these retention settings need to be set
by the administrator on the Exchange server. The only way to retrieve them
now would be to restore from backup (if available).

that feature is available in Exchange server 2003 and up. The default is 14
days.

Hi Roady,

Thank you for the updated, I have admin access to the Exchange server, we
have tried restoring from the tape and it has failed.

I wanted to activate dumster so that i could stop such issues in the future.
i know that we need to change some regestry settings, but not sure were..
Are you aware of the process..?

Are you aware of the process.. to activate dumster?

No need to do anything with the registry or at client level. You can
configure the retention settings at the Mailbox Store level in ESM. It's on
by default.
