I am running 32bit home premium vista. I have a Pharos gps that uses active
sync. It works perfectly with XP, but not getting anywhere with the mobile
device center that I downloaded. My guess is that mobile device center
doesn't sync with Activesync... Does anyone else have this issue with a
windows mobile device using Activesyc? Pharos is not giving me any promise
anymore with this new Operating system.

ActiveSync is not supported in Vista. Instead you must use the Windows
Mobile Device Center software. But it may or may not support your GPS - I
suspect if the folks at Pharos say "No Vista support, sorry!" then that
means your device won't work with Vista.

But you could try anyway ... download and install this with your GPS
disconnected from the PC:

I had the same experience with HP IPAQ 6915. and Vista Ultimate. Mobile
device center worked OK though.
However Bluetooth sync of files is more practical now and I abandoned MDC.
Provided your device supports Bluetooth.
