I am also getting all or parts of IE's 'action canceled'
page on some websites, and I always get it on my hotmail
mail page. I see others have the same problem - but no
solutions so far?

per Mike Burgess item I have tried to identify my 'host' file by searching for 'C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC ' but
get back the message that the file has been moved/removed - is this normal in W2000?
