I am creating materials for students who are required to use the action
button to take them to an Excel file. However when the student copies the
folder containing the PPT file and the Excel file on to their own area in the
network - the hyperlink from the PPT does not work - it is an "absolute" path
ie it is looking for the file in the area in which it was originally created.

Please help! - this is driving me beyond insanity!

-- I cracked my problem by using Microsoft Office button and the publish
option. This has allowed the hyperlinks in the PowerPoint, Word and Excel
files used in the presentation to become relative. Pupils are now able to
download the folder and run the materials in their own areas.

At the moment I have only managed to network presentations created in Office
2003 - there are still problems with hyperlinks from Excel to PowerPoint in
materials created Office 2007.
