,I have FP 2003 on MS2000 office -- two thigs are happening. One--If I have more than one website in "my documents/my websites" , when I go to publish one site in particular, it tries to publish everything in "my documents". After that happened, I went and cleaned off my remote site, as it was giving error messages (because too much was being published?), and moved everything out of "my documents" except the one site. I was then able to publish -- but now problem two -- when I open pages in my local FP to edit, the tabs (page names?) are now all "index.html" instead of the name I gave them when I made the site. I scooted out of there real fast without saving. Why are these pages renamed. and how to I get them back to their regular names without saving a bunch of pages named "index.html"?

Make sure you have not created a web out of your My Documents Folder
If you use File Open Site and browse to My Documents, And it Opens as a FP web you need to Remove it as a FP web (see below)
If it does not open as a FP web, and asks if you want to convert to the folder to a FP web say NO (and OK to the error)

If your My Documents is a FP web, open it in FP then right click the root and select Delete
CAREFULL - select the 1st option (Remove FP info ...), Not the second option to Delete all content!

Now make sure you are actually opening the disc based webs Below My Documents
File Open Site and browse to the Web folder below My Documents
Could be My Webs or other folders w/ web icons in them (at the same level as My Webs or below the My Webs folder)

You do not have to, and you are actually better off, create your local webs in the My Webs folder
FP actually works better at managing disc based webs if you create them as top level folders w/o and spaces in the names as say:
C:\MyWebName

And in File Publish (or remote Web Site View) check the location of the destination (remote site properties)

You need to rename the pages, it would seem. Right click anywhere inside the
page in design view, select "Page Properties". Type your page title in the
text box for it. Click OK.
