Acti-Deskt-Recov? Prob SOLVED!

've just unchecked 'Run a DLL as an App' under the 'Exceptions' tag in
'Windows Firewall' via the 'Control Panel' and the speed-up result is quite
amazing! All is back to normal - folders open instantly, no matter how many
icons they contain, all appear instantly! - Why this should be so - you
tell me! - Andrew

Your Active Desktop was set to pulldown some web page and possibly run
something and now it cannot and the problem is resolved?

He never said, but I think he is running Zone Alarm.

Difinately NOT running Zone Alarm but am running Ad-Aware Anniversary
