sTried to create a Safe Zone on my Fujitsu laptop.

Now it will not boot and say hard drive read error and asks to CtrlAltDel.

This bring you to the menu that allow you to go to Recovery and Repair.
However, the Windows RE does not list an operating system and asks for setup
drivers for my hard drive. None of the discs I have seem to have contain
those and I am not sure where I should be looking.

I am almost sure my MBR has been overwritten or corrupted by Acronis program
but cannot acces bootrec /fixmbr to do a repair.

I called Fujitsu and they were at a loss as Vista still seems to be the
mystery of the ages. lol

Help desperately and gratefully needed.

This may not solve your present problem, but it should solve any future
problems. I install Acronis only once to make an Acronis boot disk (CD). Once
accomplished I can uninstall the program (actually I restore to a state
prior to the installation) since it's no longer needed. Once you have the
boot disk, boot from it and make full backup to a different partition, hard
drive, CD, DVD, etc. Now in the event of any problem eg, computer won't
bootup you simply boot from the Acronis boot disk and browse to your backup.
It takes me about 15 minutes to restore Vista and all applications. I have
used this system for years without problems. I call it my insurance program.
As an aside, I have two partitions with the first one having OS/Applications
and the second one having Data. I use Acronis to make images of the first
partition and I use SyncBackSE to backup the data partition to an external
hard drive daily.

Fujitsu should tell you how to recover your sys
The only time I encountered a problem with Acronis was due to failing memory
I assume your version of Acronis is Vista compatible
