I recently bought a new Toshiba laptop installed with Vista - I've tried on
three separate occasions to download Adobe Acrobat 8. Each time the
installation was successful, but I've found when my computer goes to sleep,
upon waking, I get a blue screen message and the machine reboots. I've
uninstalled and installed Acrobat three times and each time the same thing
happens. Does anyone know how I might fix this? Thanks!

Had your computer been going into and out of sleep mode correctly before you
installed Acrobat? If you uninstall Acrobat and then put the computer into
sleep mode and then wake it, do you get the BSOD?

Yes - it was working fine before each installation and it works fine when I
remove acrobat. The only time I've gotten the blue screen is when acrobat's
installed.

Maybe try and find Acrobat 7 and see if that works?
