I am building a single image that will support both ACPI uniprocessor
and ACPI multiprocessor based hardware sets. Since the components are
mutually exclusive I set target designer to use the uniprocessor
component. If I build the image and run through the FBA on the
uniprocessor machine and then transfer the hard drive to the ACPI
Multiprocessor machine I am asked for a file called halmacpi.dll the
file doesn't seem to be included in an components provided with
target designer (SP2), so I can't simply include a component.
Every time the multiprocessor image starts it asks for this file
(halmacpi.dll) and then claims that the hardware did not install
correctly. So my question is, if I need ACPI is it possible to support
both uniprocessor and multiprocessor hardware sets on the same image?
If so how?
Thanks for any help.
