Help
Running Win2K SP4 and had a boot error so had to use the "Fail Safe" options in my Award BIOS setting to get it back in action. Before this I used to use the standby and hibinate feature each evening and it all work fine. Now when I ask the PC to go into standby mode, the fan and hard drive kick back into action after about 5 secs after a standby and I ca't get round the problem. I'm assuming it's a setting in the BIOS but I been though the dame thing and changed every setting to do with power management and none of it works. I've got the lastest BIOS update for my VIA Apollo KT266 mobo just in case, but still no joy. The ACPI fan, fixed feature button and thermal zone devices all look O.K in the system devices list. Any ideas would be great, because I'm lost !
