I can not access mcafee sites (e.g. mcafeehelp.com) first time. I get a
blank page, but will get the site only if I click refresh. This is
preventing Mcafee from updating successfuly. This may happen on other sites
also, but I have yet to find one. Also, using chat in the mcafee help system
does not work.

It looks like you need to update Java JRE at
http://www.java.com/en/index.jsp and possibly Macromedia Flash/Shockwave
Players at http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/welcome/

Makes no difference, but thanks. This machine is brand new and came loaded
with XP SP2, so it should be pretty current.

I am having similar problems with Hotmail sites and now I can't log into my
e mail account on that machine!
