Hello, we have some charity clients in Toronto, Canada who are using Accpac
Plus in Dos.

How can we send data from Accpac Plus / Dos to Excel or can you suggest a
program that Excel can use to import data from Accpac Dos?

The clients want to send AR, AP and GL details with the field names to Excel.

Thank you for your assistance

Assuming that there are no options for the reports to be saved as CSV (comma
seperated values) or such.

You are limited to saving them as text files and if you can't save the files
as a text file set up a printer as a generic text printer and print through
that printer and save to file.

You then need to use a converter like monarch
http://www.datawatch-europe.com/products.shtml

or prompt (parse-o-matic)
http://members.aol.com/getmydata/pc-index.html

or you could write the converter in excel vba.

good luck as the process can be time consuming.

Thank you for your suggestions.
The charity I am working with has decided to continue looking for a
finished software package, but in the meantime is now looking for an
ODBC link between Accpac & Excel.

Have a nice holiday
