Accounts on shared database shown as contacts on remote desktop?

We have recently installed outlook 2007 with BCM. We have shared one
database with the other desktop units in the office. The other
(remote) desktops can connect to and use the shared database.
However, when a remote desktop user clicks on an account, it opens as
a contact and not as an account. This in turn means the remote
desktop cannot link a task or project to an account. Is this
normal? If not, what settings are required to allow the remote
desktop to see accounts as accounts and to link projects and tasks to
an account?

Thank you.
