Account Send/Receive

I have 7 email accounts set up in Outlook, all used for a different purpose.
When I start outlook, it automatically does a send/receive of new email.
But, not always does every account work, I will get error messages on
different ones, not always the same one. I then exite Outlook, and restart
it, and all accounts may correctly send and receive, at some point they all
will. I am getting a huge number of spam on my main account, and don't know
if this is a problem, but it's not always this account that has the problem.
I'm also dealing with 3 mail servers to retrieve mail.

Any help would be appreciated!
Lois

What version, mode, and service pack level of Outlook?
What are the specific error messages?

It's odd that you mention having major problems with spam given the
signature in your post (SpamInspector). You may wish to note that this
company has been purchased by Microsoft.

Lois, the problems you describe could have many different causes. I
would start by troubleshooting one account at a time. You mentioned 7
accounts and 3 mail servers. What is the breakdown of accounts to servers?

I am running Outlook 2002, XP service pack 2. I don't believe that I have
updated Outlook with any patches, etc. This is installed on a new computer.
The accounts that are affected never seem to be the same ones. Once I exit
and restart Outlook, all may send/receive successfully.

I do get alot of spam not filtered by earthlink. Spaminspector does take
care of a majority but emails are still received by Outlook before being
sent to a separate folder.

I will post the error message once I have one occur.
Thanks

This is the message that I am getting.

Task 'SFVQA Newsletter - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x8004210A)
: 'The operation timed out waiting for a response from the receiving (POP)
server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server
administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
