Hi,
I am locked out of all acounts, whenever I try to log in it comes back with
"unable to log you on due to an account restriction"

this happens with all logons including Administrator and whether I attempt
to log in normally or safe mode.

HP media center pc running windows xp media center

I have tried safe mode, last known good configuration, reset/cleared
passwords.
I need some other ideas.

How did you reset/clear the passwords. Did you use a boot disk like this
http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/. Other than trying this to reset the
password on the administrator account you would need to carry out a repair
install I think.

Hi Neil,
thanks for the response. I had used pnordahl to reset the password,
unfortunately it made no difference, i was afraid you might suggest a repair
install, i will have to get a media kit for media center and try that.
