Accidently Installed a Win98 Codec in Win XP Pro....Help...!

Hello Group, I accidently installed a Windows 98 codec into WinXP Pro SP1.
How can I remove the codec..?????

Where are the codecs installed in XP?????

And can bad ones be removed ????

Look in Control Panel >> Add or Remove Programs

To see the Installed Codecs...

Start | Run | Type: msinfo32 | Click OK |
[+] Components
[+] Multimedia
Audio Codecs
Video Codecs

Installed Codecs...
Audio Codecs
Sounds and Audio Device Properties
Start | Run | Type: mmsys.cpl | Click OK |
Hardware tab | Audio Codecs | Properties button |
Properties tab | Highlight codec | Properties button

Video Codecs
Sounds and Audio Device Properties
Start | Run | Type: mmsys.cpl | Click OK |
Hardware tab | Video Codecs | Properties button |
Properties tab | Highlight codec | Properties button
