Windows defender found several things on my computer and without thinking
about it I denied something’s that I need.
How do I allow, or permit something I denied?

If you have inadvertently prevented something from running it should appear
in Quaranteed items Tools>Quaranteed Items. Highlight the item you wish to
restore and hit the Restore button bottom right. Alternatively the item may
appear in the Software Explorer. If you know what you are looking for I would
also suggest taking a look in the Start up folder and check the state of the
item involved ie In progress or not. Again you will be given the option to
Enable.

Hope this helps

I should have added that how WD reacts to items it has found will much depend
on what actions you have configured it to take when finding something it is
not sure about. This is done thru Tools>Options>Default Actions.

I have looked at the quarantined items and there is nothing there but yet
they still appear in the history. I had stopped My Music, My Pictures, and My
Vedio's. The folders remain but everything with in those folders are gone. I
also looked in software explorer and everything is at default under options.
Do you have any other ideas where my work from these folders went too?

Hello Enoahfisher,

I suppose you could also try System Restore using a checkpoint from before
the update was blocked.

Like the fictional creation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, “It’s elemental Mr.
Watson” :-)

Soooo true Engel - how RU? My problem is I seldom see the wood for the
trees Talking of Sherlock Holmes? I have a great Sherlock Holmes joke but
the language content wouldn`t be suitable on here I`m not so much worried
about the ladies `looking in`as maintaining my British `stiff upper lip`
image LOL!! Just kidding.
