No. The address book does not contain any data. It is simply a view of your
Contacts folder and should never be used to edit or manipulate your Contacts
data, or else you will lose that data, as you have demonstrated.
Moreover Outlook does not use groups. It uses Distribution Lists. If you
deleted that a DL and it no longer resides in your Deleted Items Folder,
then you will have to recreate it or restore it from the most recent backup
of your Outlook data.
