Is it possible for my Windows Server 2003 box
to access files
on a remote various Windows-XP Home Edition box?

It's funny, the Home Edition boxes can remote desktop
to the Server, but the Server cannot remote desktop the Home Editions.

Yes, possible. No XP home doesn't support RDP. You can share the drive and
access the files that way.
