Hi

I have only just "caught up with" the dropping of the vba group from the
Microsoft servers. I was puzzled why it was so difficult to find helpful
material on how to connect this group using a newsreader.

Eventually I found a post on the Google archives from Dave Peterson (thanks
Dave!).

Thought it might be useful to have more info on one of the MVP's web sites,
if possible? That's a suggestion, not a complaint, of course!

hth

Tim

You want to access the new MS Forums??

See Ron de Bruin's site.

http://www.rondebruin.nl/nntpbridge.htm

Via a news reader alone??

Use this server................news.eternal-september.org

Your reference to news.eternal-september.org looks very useful.
I have connected to it and it consists of about 10k groups.
How are Microsoft forum names mapped to newsgroup names?
Where should I look for Excel forums?
I am having trouble using wildcards in filters of 100k+ newsgroup names.
