If you did a "Clean Install" of XP and moved your files and
folders over to the new drive along with installing your
applications, there is still one thing you need to do.
Installed the drivers for your laptop from the manufacture's
web site. You should see XP drivers for the motherboard,
video, sound, network and of course the port replicator.
After installing "ALL" the drivers check 'Device Manager' for any
items in the list that have a Yellow mark (?), that means you
didn't or forgot to install a driver for that device.
