I have two machines running Windows XP Pro. I'd like to have one of
the machines securely connect to the other over the Internet and map a
shared folder to a drive. How would I go about doing this, and how
could I make the connection secure?
I am mainly a UNIX guy, so I initially thought I could use an SSH
tunnel from one machine's SMB port to the other and then map
//localhost:1234/theshare to a drive (where 1234 is the port that's
tunneled to the other machine). This didn't seem to work.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill
