I have an ancient Toshiba PDA (e310) running MS Pocket PC Version 3.0.11171.
I have recently purchased a new computer running Vista. In order to connect
the PDA to the PC I had to download and install a file from Microsoft.
Everything worked well until there was an update for Vista and for Internet
explorer. Now I get the following error message when I try to run Outlook
:Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Outlook requires Microsoft Outlook Express
4.01 or greater. You can install Outlook Express by running !E5Setup....”
I did this and received another error message “Setup has detected a newer
version of Internet Explorer already installed on this system. Setup cannot
continue.”
How can I access my contacts and calendar in Outlook?

You do not seem to have Vista installed or it is not installed properly or you corrupted it with the wrong file that you downloaded .You are getting this error because Outlook Express and IE are of different versions and this error would not pop up on you unless it is how I described it in my first line above

It sounds like you are using a really old version of outlook - like Outlook
98. See help, about if unsure.

Did you try repairing outlook?
