Accessing Offline Folders

I am using Win XP and connecting to an NT4 LAN. All of my
folders in My Documents are configured for Offline use.
They synchronise when I log off the server, then when I
log back on. However, when I'm at home and log onto the
office VPN, I can only see about 30% of the folders which
should be in My Documents.

Is there an obvious reason why this is happening?
