Trying to get into my old Documents folder under my userid. But my account
was only accessible using a password, so I presume that is why I can't access
my old folder. How do I clear the lock on it.
Thanks

Hello,

See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308421 - How to take ownership of a file
or a folder in Windows XP

If you have *encrypted* the folder and have no backup of the certificates,
you're out of luck.
