Is there any way to access a hidden folder? I made a
folder that could only be accessed by one user name, but
that user name has been deleted, and the stuff in the
folder is important to me.

How can I access or unhide the folder?

Trying logging with the administrators privilege

Administrators have complete control over all the users on that system and can access all folders. Or use try accessing this folder c$

I'm using an administrator account, it still doesn't
work. When I try to open it it says, "[This folder] is
not accessible.

Access is denied."

Is there any other way to open it, or is it basically
gone for good?

Search 'Help & Support' for 'taking ownership'.

In Windows Explorer, go to "Tools" - "folder options" - "view" - under
"Hidden Files and Folders" check "Show Hidden Files and Folders" click
"Apply" - you will now be able to see them in Windows Explorer.

There was a choice of whether or not to keep personal
folders when you deleted the account. If you said "NO"
then try an undelete program to recover. (R-Undelete is
pretty good.) Otherwise, you may be screwed.

Try logging on as Administrator and seeing if the My
Documents folder still exists for the user name.

Darn! None of that stuff seems to have worked.

My computer had to have some kind of recovery done on it,
beause some driver was disabled, and when it was working
again the user names were gone. Does this mean the
folder is definitely gone or is there still some way to
access it? And also, when I go to Properties of the
folder it says it is 0 bytes. I don't know if this is
because nothing is in it anymore, or because it's hidden.

When you view the properties, what does the security tab say? When you click the 'Advanced' button on the security tab, then select the 'Owner' tab, what does it say?

When I view the properties there is a Sharing tab, which
I assume is the same as the Security tab you mentioned
(because none of the folders have a Security tab), and
the only option it has is "Make this folder private," but
it's not selectable for some reason.

And there is no Advanced button in the Sharing tab.
There's one under the General tab, but it doesn't contain
anything that looks useful.

To display the Security tab

1.. Open Folder Options in Control Panel.
a.. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
b.. Double-click Folder Options.
2.. On the View tab, under Advanced settings, clear Use simple file sharing [Recommended].
