type of boot, safe, or otherwise. The infamous blue screen flashed
for 1/2 a second so I was unable to read the exact details. I took a
chance and loaded a separate XP OS on the same partition, with the
hope of being able to access the "My Documents" folder on the original
OS profiles. I tried reloading XP on the original OS but it won't
copy files, I am guessing there's a few bad sectors on the hard disk.
Obviously when I try to open the Documents and Settings info under the
other profiles it says Access is Denied. I need, badly, to get at the
data, burn it on CD and then FDisk and give the system a clean slate.

wife's PhD thesis is on there and she hasn't backed it up in a about
two weeks, please help, my marriage is on the line here!
