Going to upgrade a slew of Win 9x machines to XP Pro.
What configurations and other issues should I be aware of
in setting up these newly configured machines to logon to
a Win 2000 domain?

One thing you want to keep in mind is that they will need to have their
network interface's DNS settings to show the IP of the server hosting the
Windows 2000 domain's forward lookup zone as the preferred DNS setting on
the new XP Pro machines.
