When I delete a table from Access, the size of *.mdb file
does not change. Like the table is still residiing in
the database but not visible. How can your purge it.

I am new to access. Thanks in advance.

You would need to do a Compact and Repair (found in the Tools menu) on your
database to recover the space and reduce the size of the file.

Use the Compact and Repair database option found under
the Tools' menu Database Utilities option.

Access / JET does not recover space automatically. You need to use the Menu
Tools / Database Utilities / Compact Database to compact the database and
recover the space.
