Access Security on NT

Why is my security access (user/workgroups) only
applicable to my pc? When other workstations access my MS
Access DB on the network, the security privileges I've
implemented is not recognized by their workstation. How
can I best set-up security for an Access db on the NT that
would enable all users to log-on with the username and
password assigned to them????

A note on this: I found it FAR simpler to use the
Security Wizard and follow the initial steps from the help
files verbatim. I tried to do it on my own and ran into
the same problems. However, with the security wizard all
is well...

The wizard may not have done everything for you, it depends on the version.

Honestly, I'm really not this incompetent.how do I go
about creating a shortcut. Do I do it internally (access
db\edit\create shortcut). If that's the case, I need to
select a table/query/ etc.. for me to shortcut. What do I
select?

On the other hand, if I select the icon to shortcut, it
doe not give me an option to customize a path. Rather,
options given are desktop or duplicate copy. Please advise.

First find the path to msaccess.exe on your machine (Start, Search, Files or
Folders and search for msaccess.exe). Make a note of the path to this file.

Right click on the desktop and choose, New, Shortcut.

In the next dialog click on Browse and navigate to msaccess.exe and Finish.

You'll see a shortcut on your desktop. Right-click on it and choose
properties; you'll see an item called Target with the path to msaccess.exe
in it. Now just edit this target by adding to the end of it
"path to the mdb" /wrkgrp "path to the secure.mdw"
