In MS Access, I am trying to change the data type of a field from number to
text. However, Access says I cannot do it because there is a relationship
set up. I have deleted all relationships, restarted several times and
fiddled a lot, yet Access keeps saying that I have a relationship and won't
let me change the data type. If anyone can help, it would be much
appreciated. thanks!

Click on TOOLS - Relationships and Show All. If it is not showing then use
the TOOLS - Analyze - Documentor. Select your table and in Options select
relations. Also in queries select all and in Options select relations.
