i have an access database that i am compiling and packaging for deployment
with access runtime. It used to work fine. Now when i install it all the
buttons and update controls are blocked for some reason. I have checked the
trust center settings and they include the path from where to software is
installed and the path that it is installed to. i have no idea why this is
happening. if i open the db in a full version of access it works fine. no
errors.... Can someone help, please?

Try packaging and deploying a backup from a few weeks ago. If it
works, you made a coding change for the worse.

Next to below suggestion, I would also investigate whether network policies
have changed ...
So: also check with your IT department
