I have 2 Windows 2000 Server SP4 networks. 1 in London, 1
in New York. They are in separate forests. We use both
WINS & DNS for name resolution. We both use Exchange
Server 2000 SP3. We are connected via a wan connection and
have external trusts going both ways. I had a user in
London over the holidays and he was able to access his
shares fine but was unable to access his exchange mailbox
unless I made him an administrator in the NY domain. But
I could easily log into any machine in NY and access any
London user's shares and email addresses. All users in
both domains have the same rights. I am at a loss as to
whether this is an Exchange issue or an Active Directory
issue?
