FP2003 is not letting me manage my site through the remote area. I have
several sites I manage and all are fine except this one. It has worked for
weeks, now I access remote site and I get the permission and password window,
I type in the password and it doesn't accept it. At other times it doesn't
even ask, but when I try to update a file, I receive the message that I don't
have permission to do that. At other times it says there is not a web
installed at that address and do I want to install one. I'm the only one who
uses this computer. I work from home.

I can access this site through the ISP's FTP (using the same password), but
it's sure not the streamlined experience I've always enjoyed with FP. I've
emptied temp, cookies, cache, restarted, etc. Any ideas? Please?

If you've accessed the site / published files using FTP, you have broken the FrontPage
extensions.
Have your host restore / repair them and then only use http:// to access the site.
