I have a report which is based on a query.
I open the design view of the report and click the build button next to
the record source which invokes the query builder.
I make changes in the query builder and save them and also save the
report.
I go back into the query builder by clicking the build button next to
the record source of the report and my changes are not saved.
If i try go directly into the query and make changes, they are saved.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

What version of Access are you using? If it is 2000 or later, you do know
that you have to have the database open exclusively to save any object,
right?

I am using Access 2002. I am able to save any object, create new
objects, and delete objects in my database. The only thing i'm having
a problem with is my changes not being saved in the query builder when
I invoke it from the record source of the report.

Thank you

Could it be than you have the query already open?

Thanks for the suggestions Bill. I figured it out.

When I left click on the three periods next to the record source of the
report, my changes are saved in the query builder.
When I right click on the three periods and choose build, my changes
are not saved in the query builder.

I will left click on the button for now as a workaround.
