Thank you for your prompt reply. What I would like to do
is start a new access program that will let me input the
truck number, kilometers travelled, and which province or
state. The lady who used to do it had a running total and
what our office wants to do know is open a new one every
3 months (our quarter) how do I go about starting a new
access program. Also the lady before me used two tables.
One to input the information and the other one to give a
running total which was sorted by state/province e.g.
Prov/State Total Kilometers
AB 31278
AK 22128
How do I go about linking these two together so that what
I enter in the first table.... Truck number, kilo...etc
will automatically be inputed into the other table.
Please reply as soon as possible....If you like you may e-
mail me seperately. I could even attach the screen that I
need help with!!!! Thanks again....

You are describing doing something that requires more than a simple, "push a
button" answer. Most of the folks who respond here in the newsgroups are
volunteering their time and experience. If you have an emergency need to
have an immediate response, you'll probably need to find someone to hire.

If you've never worked in Access before, this might not be a good project to
start on. If you proceed, you'll need to plan on spending hours and days
coming up to speed.

Is there a chance you can do what you want with a tool that you are more
familiar with? Does your situation lend itself to using a spreadsheet, for
example?

Good luck
